I keep a roll of labels and a Sharpie at the thermocycler and pre-write them while the block warms — when the rush hits, it’s just ‘stick and go’ instead of playing “whose [redacted] is this?”. If I can’t prep, I at least slap initials/date first before any reagent goes in and fill the rest after.
