Ever accidentally mixed up your reagents and ended up with a purple goo instead of a nice slide — just last week, I took a good half hour preparing tissue samples only to realize I had grabbed the wrong stain. Got a good laugh out of it, but the real comedy was watching my supervisor try to identify whether it was tissue or just a science project gone wrong.
I can totally relate! I once turned a batch of samples into a vibrant pink fest instead of that lovely blue I was going for… Just goes to show, sometimes our best experiments are the ones that get a laugh — did they ever figure out what color your tissue was?
Mixing up stains is the best unintentional art project! I once used the wrong stain and ended up with what looked like a Jackson Pollock on my slides. Just remember, if it looks too wild, it might be best to hide it from your supervisor — those science projects can be hard to explain!
