Rigorous chain-of-custody training recommendations

After our April 2025 ISO/IEC 17025 surveillance audit, I need training that ties LIMS chain-of-custody event logs to bench workflows (e.g., tape lifts to QIAcube to QuantStudio 5) and includes mock transfers and tamper-evident seals. Has anyone done RTI or NFSTC modules that truly drill the handoffs and documentation, or found a better option with practical exercises?

For GPS external load, Catapult Education covered cleaning/thresholds and CEUs; if you’re in R, lean on irr::icc and flag >TE changes so you can communicate risk as “beyond noise” without overselling it.

We had “clean ATP” but recurring Listeria until we added a weekly enzyme pre-clean for biofilm and did post-sanitation enrichment swabs on drains, hollow rollers, and slicers — found a split gasket. Listeria hides like a bad roommate under the fridge, so rotate QAC with peracetic and add a 70°C rinse/dry step. @QA small caveat: if teardown isn’t daily, schedule a mid-week hot-water flush and only clear lines after two consecutive Listeria spp. negatives.

We ran a half-day mock case that tied LIMS events to tape lift → QIAcube → QS5 using barcode-sealed “passports”, timed handoffs, and a “two-person transfer check”, plus a red-team discrepancy drill where we planted a mismatched seal number — a relay race with barcoded batons. Webinars are a good primer, but the muscle memory came from forcing real-time entries at a bench-side LIMS kiosk/scanner; consider adding that and requiring a brief corrective-action note whenever a scan fails or a seal is reissued.
