Late specimens vs. proper fixation

Two small GI biopsies landed at 4:55 pm with the overnight processor already running, and I hesitated to squeeze them in under-fixed. How are you handling end-of-day tissue that needs careful processing without blowing next-morning expectations from the team? I want to support the diagnosis without compromising morphology, but the timing pressure is real.

I hold them in 10% NBF overnight, then do a 6am mini-run; note ‘late/under-fixed’ in LIS — @grossroom okay?
