Challenges in microbial quality control

I’ve been noticing an increase in false positives in our microbial quality control tests, particularly with the agar plates. It’s been a bit frustrating because it affects our efficiency and data integrity. Has anyone else encountered this, and how do you manage it in your lab?

I’ve had similar issues, and one thing that helped is ensuring our plates are properly incubated and checked for contamination before testing. That way, we catch any potential false positives sooner. Have you tried modifying the incubation times?
