I landed a remote QC contract last month by filtering for ‘LIMS’ and ‘ISO 17025’ and applying within an hour of posting — saved searches on LinkedIn make that painless: 721 Lab Technician Remote jobs in United States. Just watch for ‘remote’ that really means hybrid or on-call weekends — remote as in remotely close to the site. Anyone else seeing more data-review-only roles?

I swapped the autoplay hero for a preloaded WebP poster as the LCP and put the H1 + about 40 chars in real DOM text over it; the video only mounts on idle/interaction.

Quick win: “make the H1 the LCP” — we moved the poster into a CSS background on a about 60vh hero so the real H1 + about 40 chars are the largest painted node, preloaded a 1200w AVIF with fetchpriority=high, and mounted the video on idle; LCP settled around 1.9s. Caveat: cap max-height on ultrawide so the background doesn’t reclaim LCP; Optimize Largest Contentful Paint  |  Articles  |  web.dev helps verify what’s counted.

I’ve had the best luck with remote lab roles by searching QC posts for “data review” or “batch record review” and making sure HPLC/GC are in my resume keywords; @sandraP88’s LIMS angle complements that. Small caveat: most “remote” are really hybrid, so ask up front about on-site days and whether they provide a laptop/stipend — beats calendar Tetris later.
